Join Ben Campsey as he shares concepts and strategies that will help you maximize the profitability of your spa. Mr. Campsey will introduce metrics to improve your ability to evaluate performance over time, and benchmark your results against the industry. Mr. Campsey will provide common examples of “profit leakage”, and discuss solutions that can be implemented immediately to im- prove your spa’s financial results. He will provide simple tools that will help you make better strategic decisions at the operational level. The concepts discussed will include contribution margin analysis, managing therapist productivity and room utilization, breakeven point (as it applies to service discounts), and forecasting for improved labour management.
Biography
Ben Campsey is the Director of Finance for Cary North Carolina’s Five Star, Five Diamond, Umstead Hotel and Spa. After nearly ten successful years in varying capacities with Canyon Ranch Health Resorts, Mr. Campsey elected to join the opening team at The Umstead Hotel and Spa in 2006. Mr. Campsey has experience in development, opening, and operating phases of luxury resorts and hotels.
