Biography

Jane Crawford is a profit centre specialist providing expertise to medical practices and medical spas to optimize revenues. Ms. Crawford is known in the medical and skin care profession as America’s foremost med-spa expert. Her entrepreneurial adventure began in the late 1980s when she opened the first med-spa in the United States, at the same time beginning work on one of the first hospital programs.

Ms. Crawford serves on the Education Faculty of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, is a founding member of the International Medical Spa Association, and is a licensed instructor through the University of South Carolina. An expert on the key ingredients for success, Ms. Crawford’s experience includes mastery of the unique nuances of day-to-day operations that optimize profitability. In addition to medical practices, her clients consist of physicians featured on television’s Dateline, 20/20, and the Discovery Channel, as well as high-profile day and destination spas in the United States. She is the owner of Jane Crawford Skin Clinic in Greenville, South Carolina. She has practiced hands-on esthetic treatments for over 25 years. Her training spans the globe; her approach with her clients is far beyond the generic “Med-Spa-Day Spa service offering”.

Ms. Crawford provides training for the esthetic and medical industry, she conducts seminars for physicians, practice administrators, spa owners/managers, estheticians, and nurses across the United States and internationally. In addition, Ms. Crawford has developed a private label, clinically based, botanical product line. An active freelance writer, she frequently contributes articles to skin care and medical industry publications. She is a co-author of Cosmetic Medicine & Aesthetic Surgery Strategies for Success, written with Renato Saltz, MD; and the cosmetology and esthetic industry textbook, Milady.
